Our Bible Study this year will focus on the classic Christmas story, “It’s a Wonderful Life” which was a motion picture success but before that it was based on the beautiful Christmas tale, The Greatest Gift written by Philip Van Doren Stern for a group of his friends.
The Bible Study will parallel the wonderful Christian message of the book and we will focus on the central questions and theme:
What difference does one life make on this journey of faith?
How does God use each one of us on this journey to bring His light and love to others in the ordinary occurrences of daily life and in acts of charity?
What am I being called to this Advent to fulfill the beautiful plan God has for my life and to see the Christmas miracle with new eyes and a heart filled with love and joy?
Advent is a time of preparation for the coming of Christ into our hearts. Our preparation is more than rushing, gifts, a “to do” list and writing out Christmas cards. Let us gather and discuss the greater question of what makes Christmas stay in our hearts throughout the year and consequently endure lovingly throughout our lives.
