The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a beautiful catechetical program for adults and certain youth who want to become Catholic or individuals that may be missing one or more of the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation. The RCIA program begins in the fall with weekly 90 minute sessions and ends at the Easter Vigil in the spring. Classes meet either before the 10:30 mass on Sundays or on Wed. evenings. If you, or someone you know, would like to learn more about this program, we invite you to contact Father Thadeus at [email protected] or the parish office at (914) 531-1760. You may also reach out to Robert Golia and Faith Lorenzo who are Co-Coordinators of the RCIA program and they can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected]. Or you may speak with any member of the RCIA Team including Joanne McMahon, Maureen McNamara, Peter Ryan, Vera Scavone, and Michael Corelli. We know that sometimes it is difficult to speak about our faith and to extend an invitation to someone to come back to mass or to receive sacraments. We all have a responsibility to try and bring our brothers and sisters to Christ! Help by joining us for our first RCIA Forum on Sunday September 17th after 10:30 mass. It will be a great opportunity to invite someone you know interested in the program to come and get more information, and to learn how to become more comfortable speaking to others about our faith.
